Fatherhood Alliance

Calling All Fathers

It is time we come together to support one another through the awesome journey we call fatherhood.

Family Strong’s Fatherhood Alliance of Maine was founded with the aim of helping men step into the role of being a father and to offer additional support along the way.

Our home and community-based programs are aimed at meeting the unique needs of individual fathers.

Fatherhood coaches encourage participants to be more actively engaged in the health and wellness of their children’s lives as well as their own.

Whether you have never changed a diaper before or are just not sure how to manage the joys of the teenage years, we are here to help.

Connect with a Fatherhood Coach

Building off the success of the sponsor model, we connect fathers with a one-on-one fatherhood support coach. This support coach is available to dad seven days a week and caters their approach to the specific needs.

Whether it be in-home parenting support or a phone call to help through a stressful moment, our Fatherhood Coaches stand ready to help dads throughout Maine.

Mission

Fatherhood Alliance of Maine exists to improve the lives of children by equipping men of all ages with the skills & support necessary to navigate the path through the journey we call fatherhood.

Goals

  • Build a peer-support network for fathers throughout the State of Maine.
  • Help fathers gain additional knowledge about child development and effective parenting techniques.
  • Empower men to confidently step into the role of being a father.
  • Help reduce family stress and equip fathers with tools to better manage their own emotions.

Fatherhood Workshops

Our fatherhood workshop & support group is a place for dads to connect and learn from one another.

Each session focuses on a specific aspect of fatherhood, starting with a learning module and allowing time for group discussion. It is an opportunity to benefit from the insights of those who have gone before you and share personal experiences. Fathers will walk away with practical tools to tackle day-to-day challenges.

We currently offer weekly remote workshops every Thursday at 8:30 pm.

Join us anytime! We understand life gets hectic, so feel free to jump in for an occasional single session, or show up more regularly. Please use the following link to register: Sign up for our next remote session.
